About SPC Ardmona
SPC Ardmona is Australia’s leading fruit processing company. It started operations in 1918, in a small town called Shepparton, which is located 2 hours north of Melbourne, and hence its original name - the Shepparton Processing Company (or SPC). SPC merged with Ardmona (a competitor within the Shepparton region, with the distinction of being the first company worldwide to process fruit in Natural Juice) in 2004, and this marked the beginning of the current entity SPC Ardmona.
SPC Ardmona had led the increasingly competitive market in Australia with strong brands such as SPC and Goulburn Valley (the name Goulburn
Valley, originates from the region where the fruit was originally sourced & packaged).
The company has grown from strength to strength with its focus on product innovation, customer service, brand development, quality,
variety of offering, safety and sustainability. One of many achievements that marked a new era for the category, was that SPC Ardmona was
the first company in the world to pack fruit in transparent, resealable, plastic jars that could be refrigerated.
In the last decade, SPC Ardmona decided to expand the presence of its brands and operations to international markets, with the ambition of becoming the leading prepared fruit company in selected markets. Today, SPC Ardmona is present in over 30 countries and has sustained sales growth in New Zealand, UK, Canada, Germany, USA, Japan, Middle East, South East Asia and Scandinavia. To support the increasing sales globally, SPC Ardmona has established joint ventures in Thailand, Spain, South Africa and China.
Today, as a part of the Coca-Cola Amatil, SPC Ardmona’s ability to expand into new markets with leading brands has never been stronger. In 2004 SPC Nature’s Finest® was successfully launched in Europe. It has now become UK’s #1 brand of Packaged Fruit in plastic pots.
